    Athens Square Park is another public park in Astoria that offers the community access to greenery in an urban setting.  Athens Square Park is located on 30th Avenue and 30th Street in Astoria.  Commonly known for the densely populated Greek community, many people immigrated to this area in America during the Greek Civil War which took place from 1945-1949.
